Confidentiality on the site;

There are five exceptions to the principles and practice of confidentiality in the Helpline Services Department. These are:

If we have reason to believe that the individual is actively suicidal or in imminent danger of inflicting serious self-harm.

If we have reason to believe that any person is about to inflict or is about to have inflicted upon them serious physical harm.

If an illegal act to a minor (e.g. incest, sexual abuse, physical abuse, provision of illegal substances) is about to or has already taken place.

If we believe that there has been or there is likely to be a breach of the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

We will break confidentiality no matter where the incident is located in the country.
