Antiemetics
cyffuriau-gwrth-emetigAntiemetic drugs suppress vomiting and nausea and are found in over the counter (OTC) travel and motion sickness pills. Some of these pills contain drugs such as hyoscine hydrobromide or cyclizine and have been misused as at high doses as they can alter consciousness and produce hallucinations. As opioid drugs tend to induce vomiting, antiemetics can be prescribed at the same time. The opioid medication dipipanone (similar to methadone) is prescribed in a formulation combined with cyclizine. Cyclizine and opioids like methadone have been misused in combination as the dipipanone mixture is very rarely available as a street drug. Dipipanone is a Class A drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act
