Buscopan

Buscopan is a brand name for a medicine used to relieve stomach cramps, including those linked with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It contains hyoscine butylbromide. In UK prisons, Buscopan tablets have been crushed and smoked, which can cause hallucinations, insomnia and amnesia. ‘Buscopan IBS relief’ is prescription only while ‘Buscopan Cramps’ be purchased from a chemist in another.
