Ibogaine

A drug derived from a west African shrub, it has been used in some countries to help heroin and alcohol withdrawal. While several studies suggest it might be effective, there is currently no accepted medical use, it has a high risk of abuse, it can be toxic and has caused deaths. Ibogaine is covered under the Psychoactive Substances Act.
